A New Year & Renewed Hope

New Years Day found us at Cessnock in the Hunter Valley Wine country.
We spent 3 days chasing family history for hubby.

This involved grave searching, pub crawl, local sights and we finally found a brewery.
This was a very restful mini break.
We spent lots of time walking off the excess indulgence of the festive season.

Whats that I spied in the last photo CJ - Hubby outside the Hunter Valley chocolate company? hehehe
Well did you or didn't you - taste any I mean!
Such beautiful pictures CJ. Yes researching family trees will take you to many places that's for sure. I started doing ours about 3 years ago and would love to go to Holland to sort more of it out.
What are the little round buildings - an old brewery?

Looks like the little round buildings are some sort of pottery ovens. There were 4 of them in the front of the place.
We have to research more + try other beers there.... To find out the history of course....

Hubby had the chocolate and I had the strawberries with some chocolate. Had to wipe most of the choc onto plate as we had an agreement.
Makes it sound better HeHeHe...
